Kia Clavis
The Korean automaker, Kia has started testing an all-new subcompact SUV in the domestic market. This SUV will slot below the Sonet sub-4 meter SUV and will rival the Hyundai Exter and the Tata Punch. Rumoured to be called the Kia Clavis, the new small SUV will share styling cues from the bigger Kia SUVs including the Sonet, Seltos and the Telluride. It will be based on the same platform that underpins the Sonet SUV. The new model is likely to be powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder NA petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox options. It could also be the brand’s first model to feature a hybrid powertrain. The small SUV is expected to be launched before the end of this year.
Tata Punch Facelift
After launching the Punch EV, Tata Motors is now preparing to launch the updated version of the Punch micro SUV. The Tata Punch facelift will share most of the changes with the EV version. It will share the styling cues from the Nexon facelift, featuring a new grille and a sharper headlamp unit. The new model will have new alloy wheels and slightly revised bumpers.
