Triumph Trident 660 India Launch Price Is Rs 6.95 Lakh

British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph has launched the much-awaited Trident 660 entry-level naked motorcycle in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 6.95 lakh (introductory ex-showroom), the Triumph Trident 660 is brand’s most affordable bike in our market. It sits right between the Kawasaki Z650 and the Honda CB650R, which are priced at Rs 6.18 lakh and Rs 8.67 lakh respectively.

The Triumph Trident 660 is available in 4 colour options – Crystal White, Sapphire Black, Matt Jet Black and Silver Ice, and Silver Ice with Diablo Red. Triumph is giving a two-year unlimited mileage warranty with the new motorcycle. It is claimed that the new bike will have an impressive 16,000km service interval, which should ensure hassle-free ownership experience. Triumph is also giving a Rs 9,999-per-month special EMI scheme for the bike.

The new Trident 660 will reach dealerships on the 10th of April, while deliveries will commence by the end of this month. It is powered by a 660cc, liquid-cooled, inline 3-cylinder engine that produces 80bhp of power at 10,250rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm at 6,250rpm. Triumph claims that this is a brand new engine, which features 67 new components. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. Customer can also opt for Triumph’s bi-directional quickshifter by paying an extra Rs 29,000. 

The Triumph Trident 660 features a Showa upside down separate function fork at the front and preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. For braking, the naked bike gets a Nissin two-piston front caliper with twin 310mm discs and a single-piston caliper with 255mm disc at the rear. Based on the Tubular steel perimeter frame, the Trident 660 rides on 17-inch alloys shod with 120/70R17 and 180/55R17 tyres at the front and rear respectively. The bike will get Michelin Road 5 tyres.

The Triumph Trident 660 weighs 189kgs, and has a fuel tank of 14-litres capacity. In terms of features, the bike gets TFT instrument console with My Triumph connectivity system with turn-by-turn navigation, GoPro control, and phone and music operations. The motorcycle feature full LED headlight, self cancelling LED indicators, adjustable traction control, ride-by-wire, and two riding modes – Road and Rain.
