The hugely successful Toyota Innova Hycross is all set to receive a new top-end variant. Called the GX (O), the new variant will be available with the non-hybrid version of the MPV. It will be the new top-end variant of the Innova Hycross petrol line-up.
The new variant will sit above the GX variant and will come with additional features. In terms of features, the MPV will have LED front fog lamps, rear window demister, automatic climate control, dual-tone seats, rear automatic blower control, and soft touch dashboard. It will be available with both 7 and 8-seat configurations. The 7-seater version will be fitted with a bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a rear retractable sunshade. The new GX(O) variant will also receive a 360 degree surround view camera and front parking sensors.
The Toyota Innova Hycross is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 173bhp and 209Nm of torque. The same engine will power the new GX (O) variant. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a CVT automatic gearbox. The hybrid version gets a 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine that offers a combined power output of 184hp. It is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 23.24kmpl.
The existing Toyota Innova Hycross GX variant is priced between Rs 19.77 lakh and Rs 19.82 lakh. We expect the new model to cost somewhere around Rs 20.75 lakh to Rs 21 lakh, as it is packed with some additional features.
