Mahindra & Mahindra sold a total of 20,034 units in October 2021 against 18,317 units of the same month previous year. The automaker registered a sales growth of 9 percent. With sales of 6,375 units, the Mahindra Bolero emerged as the top-selling model from the company. However, the SUV’s sales declined by 16 percent compared to the same period in 2020.

The Pune-based carmaker managed to retail 4,203 units of the Mahindra XUV300 subcompact SUV. The SUV model lineup will soon receive a new more powerful, turbo petrol variant that will be named Mahindra XUV300 Sportz. Mahindra’s Scorpio SUV was the third top-selling model with total sales of 3,304 units. The model is ready to receive a generation change early next year.
The 2022 Scorpio will witness comprehensive updates inside and out along with the new 2.0L turbo and 2.2L diesel engines. This time around, the SUV will be offered with 5 and 7-seats configurations. It might come with the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with an electric sunroof, dual zone climate control, Sony’s roof-mounted speakers, a digital instrument cluster and a 360 degree camera.
The newly-launched Mahindra XUV700 SUV stood at number fourth with sales of 3,407 units. The SUV is currently available in price range of Rs 11.99 lakh (for the entry-level variant) – Rs 21.59 lakh (for the fully-loaded AX7 variant with optional Luxury Pack). The XUV700 can be had with either the 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol or 2.2L mHawk turbo diesel engine making 200bhp with 380Nm and 155bhp with 360Nm/ 185bhp with 420Nm respectively.
The automaker retailed 2,692 units of the Thar SUV that’s reported to command a waiting period of up to 12 months (depending on the variant). The Mahindra Alturas G4 SUV, Marazzo MPV and KUV100 were the least sold models with sales of 40 units, 12 units and 1 unit respectively.
