Tata Tiago – Finding The Most Value For Money Variant

Are you in the market for Tata Tiago and wondering which variant to pick? Worry not, as we have got you covered in this story.

Specifications

Max Torque113Nm (CNG 95Nm)
Transmission5-speed MT/AMT
Claimed Mileage20.09 km/l (petrol); 26.49km/kg (CNG)

The Tata Tiago gets the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that also powers the Tigor sedan. Due to its 3-cylinder configuration, this engine emits a noticeable clatter throughout its entire rev range. However, its smooth and linear power delivery makes it ideal for city driving.

Verdict: The petrol-only XTO variant of the Tata Tiago explains the incremental price gap with the number of value-added features. But surprisingly, it doesn’t have a music system, and you have to install it separately. You should, however, jump to the XT variant if you don’t want to tinker with aftermarket accessories.
