Simple Energy is struggling to deliver the long-awaited Simple One electric scooter in the country. While customers are still waiting for the Simple One, Simple Energy has announced to introduce its new affordable scooter, called the Simple Dot One. Scheduled to be introduced on 15th December, the new e-scooter will be positioned as a sub-variant of the Simple one electric scooter.
Simple Energy said that the Dot One will ensure the “accessibility of electric vehicle ownership to a larger audience.” The Simple Dot One is claimed to be designed to offer a fusion of performance and features along with quality. The new electric scooter shares its platform with the Simple One. The company confirms that the new Dot One e-scooter will be priced under Rs 1 lakh.
The Simple Dot One comes equipped with a fixed 3.7 kWh battery. It is claimed to offer 151 kilometres of certified range and 160km in IDC (Indian Driving Cycle). The electric scooter comes with specially crafted tires, which is claimed to play an important role in achieving high on-road range.
The Simple Dot One will come with over 30-litres of under-seat storage. It features a touchscreen instrument cluster that manages various functions and offers application-based connectivity for added convenience. Bookings for the e-scooter will commence on 15th December. In fact, the existing customers can also consider the Dot One as an alternative to the Simple One.
