In the coming days, we will witness two updates from Ola Electric and TVS Motor Company regarding their electric scooter models – the Ola S1 and the TVS Raider 125 commuter, respectively. TVS has confirmed the introduction of the new TVS Raider Marvel Edition on August 11th. On the other hand, Ola S1 will receive its most affordable variant on August 15th, 2023. Let’s explore the key details of both upcoming models that we know so far.
TVS Raider Marvel Edition:
The TVS Raider 125’s Marvel Edition is expected to be similar to the TVS Ntorq Super Squad variant, which featured Black Panther, Spider-Man, Thor, and Captain America-inspired liveries. As the name suggests, the TVS Raider Marvel Edition will have Marvel superheroes’ inspired liveries. This new special edition is likely to be based on the range-topping S variant. It will use the same 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that delivers 11.38PS of power and 11.2Nm of torque. The model will come with two riding modes – Eco and Power. Some of its key features will include a 5-inch TFT display, turn-by-turn navigation, voice assist, TVS’s SmartXconnect, and a split seat.
New Ola S1 Variant:
The new and more affordable variant of the Ola S1 is expected to be based on the S1 Air model. The latest teaser reveals that the model will feature a small headlamp and round mirrors at the front end. Being a cost-effective option, the new variant might miss out on the touchscreen display and instead offer a TFT console. The new Ola S1 variant is expected to provide a range of 100km on a full charge and have a top speed of 75km/h. As for pricing, the new model is likely to be priced around Rs 1 lakh higher than the S1 Air, which costs Rs 85,000.
