Okinawa Autotech has surpassed 1 lakh domestic sales of its electric vehicles in the country. The brand’s locally manufactured iPraise+ and Praise Pro plays vital role in brand’s domestic sales, as these two accounts for nearly 60-70 percent share of the yearly sales.
In order to meet the growing demand for its e-scooters, Okinawa Autotech has expanded its dealerships to over 400 catering to metro cities as well as Tier 2, Tier 3 and rural markets. The company has also launched Okinawa Galaxy exprience centre in Uttarakhan where, customers can experience the products and the story behind its making. It has plans to open 50 more Galaxy stores Pan India in the coming year.
Okinawa has lined up a total investment of INR 500 crore through the next three years. In the first phase, a sum of INR 250 crore will be invested in the first year and gradually increased over the coming years. Okinawa is the first and only electric two-wheeler maker to have its own assembly line for motors and controls. With this, its localisation will be near 100 per cent barring battery cells, which will continue to be imported. Okinawa is all set to launch its all New High Speed Scooter next year in the first Quarter of the year .
