Mercedes AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe has finally been launched in India at Rs 76.70 lakh (ex-showroom). As it’s a CBU (Completely Built Unit) mode, the company managed to price it more aggressively. It’s the first locally assembled AMG model from the German carmaker in the country.
At the heart of the Mercedes AMG GLC 43 Coupe is a 3.0-litre V6 bi-turbo motor that has been tuned for generating power worth 385bhp and a massive torque of 520Nm between 2,500rpm and 4,500rpm. The updated engine is around 23bhp more powerful than the older unit. For performing transmission duties, the vehicle has an AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission. The German carmaker claims that the Mercedes AMG GLC 43 Coupe can achieve 100kmph from standstill in just 4.9 seconds. It has an electronically-limited top speed of 250kmph.
The new Mercedes AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe features the signature an AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical chrome-plated fins, updated LED high-performance headlamps with flare effect for DRLs and matte black fins over the air intakes. The global model has been assembled with 19-inch AMG lightweight alloy wheels as standard along with 5 alloy wheel options ranging from 19 to 21-inch in size. At the back, the performance car features revised LED taillamps, diffuser and two round twin tailpipes and a broad apron.
Interior of the Mercedes AMG GLC 43 Coupe has been equipped with all-black Artico man-made leather seats with Dinamica microfiber and contrasting red stitching. It also gets the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system with AMG-specific displays and functions. A 12.3-inch instrument cluster on the left and 10.25-inch touchscreen display on the right provide visual information to the driver. There are three AMG-specific display styles of “Classic”, “Sport” or “Supersport”. The performance car comes with 5 drive modes – Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.
