Mercedes-Benz AMG A45 S, the performance-oriented hatchback from the German automaker, has been launched in India at Rs 79.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The model has been brought here via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route and only limited units will be sold across the country. Here’re key details of the newly-launched Mercedes AMG A45 S.
– One of the major highlights of the new AMG A45 S is its 2.0L, four-cylinder turbocharged motor, which is the world’s most powerful engine. The unit offers a massive 421bhp against 500Nm of troque.
– Transmission duties are done by an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It transmits power to all four wheels via the 4Matic AWD system.
– The performance hatchback offers seven driving modes – Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual, Slippery, Race and Drift.
– The Mercedes-Benz AMG A45 S can do 0 to 100kmph in just 3.9 seconds and has an electronic speed limit of 270kmph.
– For performing braking duties, the model uses 360mm front and 330mm rear disc brakes with 6-pot front and 1-pot rear calipers, which are painted in Red shade. In order to provide sportier and thrilling drive experience, its suspension setup and steering unit have also been calibrated.
– The Mercedes-Benz AMG A45 S has dashboard similar to the A-Class sedan, but carries sportier AMG components. It has an AMG-spec steering wheel with lime green accents and sporty bucket seats upfront with contrast stitching.
– The list of features also includes twin 10.25-inch displays integrated on the dashboard, Mercedes’ latest MBUX infotainment system, a wireless phone charger, a head-up display, 12-speaker Burmester sound system, AI-based voice assistant, cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with memory function, dual-zone climate control and many more.
– The Mercedes-Benz AMG A45 S comes in multiple colour options, namely, Cosmos Black, Mountain Grey, Designo Mountain Grey Magno, Polar White, Sun Yellow and Designo Patagonia Red.
– Some of its design highlights include AMG’s signature Panamerican grille, sporty front bumper with large air dams and integrated splitter, AMG-specific 19-inch alloy wheels, pronounced wheel arches and sleek LED taillamps.
