Mahindra XUV700 To Be Updated With New Features In 2022 – Report

The new Mahindra XUV700 has been an instant hit, receiving over 50,000 pre-orders in just 3 hours. The SUV currently commands a waiting period of around 9-10 months, depending on variants and city. The petrol version of the new XUV700 is priced between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 21.29 lakh, while the diesel range starts at Rs 12.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 22.99 lakh.

The current model misses out on some important features, which are likely to be added in the XUV700 with its new update. It is reported that Mahindra could launch an updated XUV700 by the end of 2022. The updated model will receive features that are missing in the outgoing model.

The new Mahindra XUV700 7-seater SUV is likely to be equipped with auto-dimming IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror), powered tailgate, and ventilated seats. Mahindra is also likely to discontinue the slow-selling variants of the existing model.

It is the first model in its segment to offer ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) with features such as adaptive cruise control, drowsiness detection, blind spot detection, autonomous emergency braking and lane keep assist. It also gets ALEXA connectivity with voice command compatibility, and WiFi. The SUV directly rivals the Tata Harrier/Safari, MG Hector twins and the Hyundai Alcazar.

The new Mahindra XUV700 is available with two engine options – a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder, mStallion turbocharged petrol and a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder mHawk turbocharged diesel. The petrol engine is capable of producing 200bhp and 380Nm of torque. The diesel engine offers two states of tunes – 155bhp/360Nm with MX version and 185bhp/420Nm (450Nm with AT) with AdrenoX AX trim. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The diesel engine also offers 4 driving modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom. These drive modes are claimed to alter performance and steering response.
