Mahindra & Kia have posted excellent sales growth for the month of December 2022. While Mahindra recorded a year-on-year sales growth of 62 per cent, Kia India posted a 95 percent increase in its sales in December 2022.

The homegrown UV maker, Mahindra has released the sales numbers for the month of December 2022. The company sold a total of 56,677 vehicles last month. In the utility vehicle segment, Mahindra sold 28,333 vehicles in December 2022 as against 17,469 units in the same month last year. The company has reported UV’s year-on-year sales growth of 62 per cent.
In the passenger vehicle segment, Mahindra has delivered a total of 28,445 vehicles in December 2022. The company has reported a massive Year-On-Year sales growth of 61%, as it had dispatched 17,722 vehicles in the same month last year. The company has also exported 3100 vehicles. In the Commercial Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 20,080 vehicles in December 2022.
According to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “Continuing interest from our customers have led to strong demand across our portfolio in December 2022. We have seen growth of 61% in our Passenger Vehicles and a 45% overall growth. Due to continuing international disruptions and increasing coronavirus cases, we are keeping a close watch on the dynamic supply chain situation.”

Kia India has registered the best-ever cumulative sales of 3,36,619 units in CY2022, registering a growth of 47.7% over CY2021. In the domestic market, Kia dispatched 2,54,556 units and reported 40.1% year-on-year growth and export dispatches at 82,063 units in CY2022. The company has achieved 8 lakh cumulative sales since the start of its sales operation in August 2019.
Kia India registered 15,184 unit sales in the domestic market in December, registering 94.7% year-on-year growth. In the same month last year, Kia India dispatched 7,797 units. Kia India sold 1 lakh units of the Seltos in a single year. The Seltos registered sales of 1,01,569 units in 2022, and the Sonet reported a sales of 86,251 units in the same year. The Carens registers 62,756 unit sales in 2022. Kia sold 3,550 units of Carnival and 430 units of the EV6 in 2022.
