Mahindra Bolero Neo Vs Bolero Neo+ : 4 Major Differences

Mahindra Bolero Neo+ 9-seater SUV recently went on sale in India. It’s essentially the extended version of the Bolero Neo with an additional row of seat, some extra features and a slightly more powerful engine. Both SUVs, however, appear largely similar and share platform.

First, let’s talk about the variant spread and price range. The Mahindra Bolero Neo model lineup is currently available in four variants – N4, N8, N10 R and N10 (O) – priced at Rs 9.90 lakh, Rs 10.50 lakh, Rs 11.47 lakh and Rs 12.15 lakh, respectively.

The new Bolero Neo+ comes in P4 and P10 variant, which cost Rs 11.39 lakh and Rs 12.49 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. There is also an Ambulance version with 5-seats configuration and a stretcher that comes with a price tag of Rs 13.99 lakh.

Powering the Mahindra Bolero Neo is a 1.5L diesel engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The motor has been tuned for generating a maximum power of 100PS and 260Nm of torque.

The 9-seater Mahindra Bolero Neo+ derives power from a 2.2L diesel motor that returns a claimed power of 120PS and 280Nm of torque. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Feature Explained

The new Bolero Neo+ has a couple of extra features over its smaller sibling. The former gets a bigger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux connectivity. However, it misses out on the cruise control, which is offered on the Bolero Neo. The latter one comes equipped with a smaller 7-inch touchscreen unit and cruise control. Features such as front and rear power windows, height adjustable driver’s seat, an anti-glare IRVM and electrically adjustable ORVMs are available on both SUVs.

One of the most visible differences is the length. While the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus measures 4400mm in length, the Bolero Neo is 3995mm long. Both SUVs are 1795mm wide and have a wheelbase of 2680mm. The 7-seater model comes with a height of 1817mm, thus making it slightly taller than its 9-seater version, which is 1812m tall.
