Vespa has launched the new limited-run 75th edition scooters in the Indian market. The new 75th edition is available in two variants – 125cc and 150cc – priced at Rs 1.26 lakh and Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune) respectively.
With these new limited edition scooters, Vespa celebrates its 75th anniversary. The biggest update is the new unique ‘Glossy Metallic Giallo’ colour option with a contrasting ‘dark smoke grey’ seats. The company is also offering a ‘welcome kit’ with the new 75th anniversary. The welcome kit includes a bag with collectible postcards and a vintage Vespa sign.
The new Vespa 75th edition styling elements include the number 75 decals on the side panels, front fender and glovebox. It comes equipped with a retractable chrome rack, which looks like the spare wheel carrier of the older Vespa models. The scooter also gets a large windscreen. It rides on newly styled machined finish wheels.
The Vespa 75th anniversary edition is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 9.93bhp of power at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 9.6Nm at 5,500rpm. The bigger capacity model features a 150cc single-cylinder that churns out 10.4bhp of power at 7,600rpm and a peak torque of 10.6Nm at 5,500rpm. Braking system includes a 200mm disc up front and a 140mm drum at the rear. The 150cc version gets a single-channel ABS system, while the 125cc version gets CBS (Combi-Braking System).
