Hyundai i20 N Line Makes India Debut; Official Bookings Open

The Korean automaker, Hyundai has officially introduced its N Line performance brand in the Indian market. The much-awaited Hyundai i20 N Line has finally made its India debut. With the debut, the company has also opened the bookings for the new i20 N Line in India. Interested buyers can pre-book the sporty hatch online or at Hyundai dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000.

The new Hyundai i20 N Line has received cosmetic changes to outside and inside along with sportier suspension setup and N Line exhaust unit. It comes with sportier N Line exterior package, featuring a sportier dual-tone front bumper that has new fog lamp housing and new red accents. It gets a sportier grille with a ‘chequered flag’ inspired design and N Line logo and a front splitter.

The new i20 N Line rides on newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels. It features side sill garnish with red inserts, and red-finished front brake calipers. The rear profile has sportier bumper with a prominent diffuser and twin-exhaust pipes. It comes with a tail gate spoiler with side wings and a dark chrome bar that connects the two tail-lights.

The new Hyundai i20 N Line interior looks largely identical to the standard model. The all-black cabin now has contrasting red highlights and red ambient lighting. The hatchback gets leatherette seats with contrasting red sitchings and new chequered flag design with N logo. Other additions include metal pedals, N branded leather gear knob and a new bespoke 3-spoke steering wheel pedals. 

Hyundai i20 N Line Features

It comes equipped with features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument console, Bose sound system with 7-speakers, automatic AC, cruise control and many more. It is reported that the new i20 N Line will  be offered with three variants – N6 iMT, N8 iMT and N8 DCT. The N6 variant will be based on the Sportz trim, the N8 trim will be based on the Asta variant of the standard i20.

Powering the new Hyundai i20 N Line is the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that powers the standard car. This engine is capable of producing 118bhp of power and 172Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT.  It will be refined in  terms of suspension, engine response and exhaust sound.
