Hyundai Creta 7 Seater SUV Launch Expected in Early 2021

Korean automaker, Hyundai is readying the 7-seater Creta SUV and a new 7-seater compact MPV. The Creta 7 Seater is rumoured to be called the Hyundai Alcazar. The new model will join the existing 5 seater Creta in our market. It is expected that the new Alcazar will first go on sale in Chinese market by the end of this year. The SUV is expected to be launched in our market in early 2021.

The upcoming Creta 7 Seater has already been spotted testing in South Korea. The spy images confirm that the new model will receive subtle design changes to keep things fresh in the market. In fact, the wheelbase and length of the SUV are rumoured to be increased by 20mm and 30mm respectively. The increase in dimensions will allow Hyundai engineers to create more space to accommodate third row of seats.

The upcoming Hyundai Alcazar SUV will receive all-new front design, which includes new chrome studded grille, bigger lower air intake and a smaller skid plate. The headlamp design could have been revised, while the fog lamp design is likely to remain the same. The side profile of the SUV will receive new design highlights such as new side sills and flatter roof, and differently styled roof rails.

The SUV will have longer rear overhang to accommodate an additional third row of seats. Moreover, the rear profile will be flat rather than the roundish in the 5-seater model. The SUV will receive new tailgate design and bigger and simple looking tail-lamps. The new Creta 7-seater will also receive front parking sensors.

The upcoming Creta 7 seater will is likely to come in 6 and 7-seat options. While the six-seater model will receive captain seats for the second row, the 7-seater Creta will have bench-type second row of seats. Most of the features will be sourced from the 5-seater SUV. The SUV is likely to share the engine options with the 5-seater Creta, which includes a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L Turbo-diesel and a 1.4L Turbocharged petrol. The SUV will take on the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Gravitas, Mahindra Scorpio and the Mahindra XUV500.
