Honda Elevate Debuts As WR-V SUV In Japan – Launch In December

Honda had launched the Elevate SUV in the Indian market in September 2023. The SUV is based on the new City platform and comes with segment leading cabin space. The Japanese automaker has now unveiled the new SUV in the home country. However, the new Elevate has been called the new Honda WR-V in Japan. The SUV carries the same design language and powertrain options as the India-spec model.

The exterior of the new Honda WR-V looks exactly similar to the Elevate on sale in our market. It comes with a boxy design with a raised bonnet and squared-off wheel arches along with prominent cladding all-around the body. The front fascia gets a wide mesh grille with chromed bar connecting the LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights. The lower bumper has wider air intake, silver skid plate and LED fog lamp.

The SUV gets a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options, automatic climate control, lane-watch camera, multi-functional steering wheel, rear aircon vents and reverse camera with sensors.

The new Honda WR-V is powered by a tried & tested 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 121bhp and a peak torque of 145Nm.
