Honda 2Wheelers India has announced plans to launch a new CB-series motorcycle on March 2nd, 2023. Details about the new motorcycle are yet to be revealed; however, it is reportedly to be a Cafe Racer motorcycle based on the Hness CB350 & CB350 RS. In fact, the company has recently showcased the cafe-racer style motorcycles to the dealers in India.
The overall styling of the cafe racer will be similar to the Honda Hness CB350. The new motorcycles will have a bikni fairing and a rear cowl to give it a cafe-racer look. Honda has added chrome elements to the Hness CB350 based cafe racer, while the CB350 RS based cafe racer has blacked-out parts. The new motorcycles will feature new colour options.
The new Honda Cafe Racer bikes will have full LED lighting & a semi-digital instrument console with bluetooth connectivity. The motorcycles will be powered by the same 348cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine linked to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 20.8bhp at 5,500rpm and a peak torque of 30Nm at 3,000rpm. The powertrain will be compliant to BS6 Phase 2 & RDE norms.
The new Honda Cafe-Racer will have dual channel ABS, and disc brakes on both wheels. The bikes will have telescopic front forks & twin rear springs. The new bikes will be launched on March 2, 2023. The new motorcycles will be priced higher than the respective standard versions. These cafe-racer-style bikes will rival the likes of the RE Hunter 350 and Jawa 42.
