Honda Cars India Sales Up 13% YoY In Sept 2023 – Thanks To Elevate

Honda Cars India has registered monthly domestic sales of 9,861 units in September 2023, registering a Year-on-Year sales growth of 13 per cent. Adding to it, the company has also exported 1,310 units last month. The company had sold 8,714 units in domestic market and exported 2,333 units in September 2022.

The newly launched Honda Elevate is the main reason behind the significant rise in brand’s sales in the country. The new Elevate has been receiving an excellent response from buyers in the market. Priced aggressively at Rs 11 lakh – 16 lakh, the new Elevate is one of the most affordable mid-sized SUV on sale in our market. The deliveries of the mid-sized SUV started from September 2023.

Commenting on the sales, Mr. Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd said, “Honda Cars India is amid an exciting phase with the launch of the all-new Honda Elevate. The new SUV has emerged as a frontrunner and is contributing significantly to the sales momentum during this festive season. The Honda City and Amaze also continue to perform well in their respective segments.”

He further added, “The auto industry is experiencing strong demand at the beginning of the festive season. With an extended festive period this year, we expect this momentum to continue, which is very encouraging.”

The new Honda Elevate is positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and the MG Astor. It is available in a single 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine with manual and CVT options. The company is currently selling the City sedan, City hybrid, Amaze and the Elevate in our market.
