Honda Activa H-Smart vs Regular Model – Differences Explained

Honda two-wheeler India has recently launched the top-of-the-line variant of the Activa called ‘Activa H-Smart’ at Rs 80,537 (ex-showroom). With respect to other variants of the scooter, the new trim offers plenty of firsts for the Activa 6G. Here’s a look –

Honda Activa Smart Features
  • The biggest addition to the Honda Activa H-Smart variant is the smart key that enables keyless operations, such as starting/stopping the vehicle and unlocking the boot. Using the smartkey, you can also locate the vehicle even in low lighting conditions or in an array of other two-wheelers in a parking lot.
  • For opening the fuel filler lid or seat, there is now a knob instead of a key slot.
  • Design-wise, the Activa H-Smart looks exactly the same as other variants of the scooter. However, a distinct improvement over the standard model is the alloy wheels. But you might be disappointed by the lack of disc brakes.
  • Honda has also offered the H-Smart variant with an exclusive Pearl Siren Blue paint option, which actually replaces the Matte Magnificent Copper colour available with the standard model. The other four colour options: Decent Blue, Rebel Red, Mat Axis Grey, and Pearl Precious White, are carried
    forward from the regular model.
  • The Honda Activa H-Smart variant is on-board diagnostics (OBD)-2 compliant. This is in line with the BS6 Stage II regulations set to take effect on April 1, 2023. This will ensure that vehicles meet new norms. It actually binds vehicles to comply with emissions regulations in real-time, rather than in an idyllic laboratory setting.
  • With all these changes, the Activa H-Smart bears a premium of Rs 6,001 from the STD variant and Rs 3,501 from the DLX variant. For reference, the Activa H-Smart retails at Rs 80,537, while the STD and DLX trims cost Rs 74,536 and Rs 77,036, respectively (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
