Electric MINI Cooper SE India Launch Soon; Bookings Open At Rs 1 Lakh

BMW is gearing up for the launch of the unprecedented all-electric MINI 3-door Cooper SE in the Indian market in early 2022. The company has also started accepting pre-orders for the new electric MINI. Interested buyers can pre-book the 3-door Cooper SE online at shop.mini.in for Rs 1 lakh.

The all-electric Mini 3-door Cooper SE is powered with a battery capacity of 32.6kWh. The small car offers 184bhp/135kW and a maximum torque of 270Nm. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 7.3 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 150kmph. The new electric Mini is claimed to offer a driving range of 270km.

Due to large battery pack, the all-electric Cooper SE weighs 145kgs more than the combustion powered model. The ground clearance has been increased by 18mm. Using a 50kW DC fast charger, the electric MINI Cooper SE can be charged up to 80 percent in just 35 minutes. With 11kW AC Wall Box, the battery can be charged up to 80% in 3.5 hours.

The all-electric MINI Cooper SE will be offered in 4 colour options – White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey and British Racing Green. It comes with yellow highlights on the closed grille and ORVMs, and new 17-inch aero-focused wheels. Estimted to be priced around Rs 50 lakh, the new model is likely to be positioned against the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
