BMW India has launched the new 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition in the country. Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, the new model is offered in both petrol and diesel variants at all BMW India dealerships.
The new BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition is available in two variants – 320Ld Luxury Line diesel and 330Li Luxury Line petrol – priced at Rs 54.90 lakh and Rs 53.50 lakh respectively. It is basically the long wheelbase version of the BMW 3 Series. The new 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition rides on 110mm longer wheelbase compared to the regular model. This adds to seating comfort and legroom in the rear compartment. It measures 4,819mm in length, and rides on 2,961mm of wheelbase. The front fascia has a large BMW Iconic Glow Kidney Grille with single surround for the two elements and LED headlights with extended features. The vehicle has short overhangs, a long bonnet and a set-back passenger compartment.
The new 3-Series Gran Limousine comes with slim 3-dimensional L-shaped LED tail-lights and two large tailpipes. The rear seats are wrapped in Vernasca leather upholstery. It gets new headrests and the central armrest between the rear seats. It gets an exclusive Crystal Gear Shift knob and an illuminated “3” model logo. The rear seat comfort is further enhanced with Rear Seat Headrest Cushion and Coat Hanger with base carrier. It offers a large 480-litres boot space and an automatic tail-gate operation.
The new BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition has welcome light carpet, illuminated door sill plates, electrically adjustable comfort seats with Sensatec door trim, a sports leather steering wheel, ambient ligting with six dimmable designs, a large panoramic sunroof and 3-zone climate control. It comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument console and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It gets wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Harman Kardon Sound system with 16 loudspeakers.
The new Iconic Edition is offered with a 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 258bhp and 400Nm at 1,550-4,400rpm. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 6.2 seconds. The diesel version gets a 2.0-litre turbo unit producing 190bhp and 400Nm at 1,750-2,500rpm. The car accelerates from 0 -100 km / hr in just 7.6 seconds. It gets an 8-speed steptronic sport automatic gearbox as standard. Adding to it, the vehicle gets steering wheel paddle shifters and cruise control with braking functions. It also offers different driving modes – ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
The new Gran Limousine Iconic Edition offers parking assistant with rear view camera, auto start-stop system, brake-energy regeneration, electronic power steering others. For safety, the new model has six airbags, Attentive Assistance, Dynamic stability control including cornering brake control, electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, etc,
