TVS Motor Company has confirmed that it will introduce a new motorcycle on 6th July 2022. In order to create excitement among customers, the company released a teaser with its signature logo and a hashtag #NEWWAYOFLIFE. As of now, we don’t have official name and details of the upcoming new TVS bike. Though, reports suggest that it could be the TVS Zeppelin or street naked version of the Apache RR 310.
TVS Zeppelin
The two-wheeler maker has already trademarked the ‘Zeppelin R’ nameplate for its upcoming cruiser. Just so you know, the bike made its public debut in its concept avatar at the Delhi Auto Expo in 2020. The concept was equipped with a 220cc, single-cylinder engine benefited with the 1,200 watt regenerative assist motor with a 48 volt Lithium-ion battery. The motor, with a 5-speed gearbox, delivers power worth 20bhp and 18.5Nm of torque.
TVS claimed that the Zeppelin’s engine offers 20 percent more torque when needed. The concept was equipped with features such as Smart Bio-Key, HD action camera and online connectivity. Its final production version, however, could be devoid of the aforementioned fitments.
TVS Apache RTR 310
TVS is also working on a new naked streetfighter based on the Apache RR 310. If reports are to be believed, the model could be named TVS Apache RTR 310. It might carry more muscular design than the RTR 200 4V with features such as the conventional LED headlamp, flat and wide handlebar, Bluetooth connectivity, adjustable suspension, traction control system and multiple riding modes.
For power, the bike will use the 312.2, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that does duty in the fully-faired RR 310. It returns a claimed power of 34bhp and 27.3Nm of torque. It will get dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard.
