New Hyundai Creta

Hyundai will launch the new Creta facelift in the country in the first quarter of 2024. The new Hyundai Creta facelift will come with significantly revised exterior and interior along with a new turbo petrol engine. The SUV will look different from the global model, and will receive India-specific changes. The SUV will have new front and rear design, new alloy wheels and new lighting system. Inside the cabin, the SUV will have a new dashboard layout with a dual-screen setup for a touchscreen infotainment and a digital instrument console. It will retain the existing 1.5L petrol and diesel engine options. Moreover, the SUV will also get a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 160PS and 250Nm of torque.

Tata Motors will launch the production version of the Curvv SUV Coupe in the first half of 2024. The company will first introduce the EV version followed by the ICE (Internal-Combustion Engine) powered version. The Curvv SUV Coupe will rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate and the German twins (Taigun/Kushaq). The new Curvv SUV Coupe will share the interior with the new Harrier & the Nexon. It will also debut the brand’s new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with manual and dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Mahindra will introduce two new models – the new XUV300 facelift and the 5-door Thar in the country in the first half of 2024. The 5-door Mahindra Thar will ride on a longer wheelbase and will offer more space & practicality inside the cabin. It will be based on the new Scorpio-N’s platform, which will be tweaked for the 5-door Thar. The lifestyle SUV will also share the engine options with the Scorpio-N, which includes a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer.

Suzuki has showcased the new-gen Swift hatchback at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo. The new model will retain the overall silhouette, but all the styling elements have been revised. The showcased model is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The interior is shared with the new Baleno and the Fronx crossover. It comes with a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, HVAC control, Baleno-like steering wheel, a semi-digital instrument console, LED projector DRLs and a larger grille with dark chrome accents. The new model will come with a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The hatchback will also receive a hybrid powertrain. It is scheduled to be launched in the first half of 2024.

Mahindra is testing the new XUV300 facelift, which is expected to be launched sometime in early 2024. The new Mahindra XUV300 facelift will receive significant changes on the outside and inside. The new model will come with ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology. It will also come with a larger free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless phone charger, a digital driver’s display and ventilated front seats. It will continue to be offered with existing engine options – a 110bhp, 1.2L Turbo petrol, a 131bhp, 1.2L direct injection turbo petrol and a 117bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel. The SUV will also receive a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox sourced from Aisin.
