4 Upcoming Toyota Cars In 2023 – SUV Coupe, New MPV

After launching the Innova Hycross and the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Toyota is now preparing to launch 4 more models in the country in 2023. The company will re-launch the upgraded Innova Crysta in the next few months. Moreover, prices of the CNG version of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV will also be revealed in the next few days.

Toyota is also preparing to launch two new models based on the existing Maruti Suzuki UVs in the country in 2023. The company will launch a new 7-seater MPV, codenamed D23, which will be based on the Suzuki Ertiga. On the other hand, Toyota will also launch the re-badged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx crossover.

The upgraded Innova Crysta will be powered by a 2.4L turbo diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 148bhp and 343Nm of torque. There will be no petrol engine and automatic gearbox on offer. It will be offered in 4 trims – G, GX, VX and ZX. The top-spec ZX variant is offered only with the 7-seats configuration.

Toyota Hyryder Launch Date

The Hyryder CNG shares the engine and gearbox combination with the Grand Vitara CNG. It will be powered by the 1.5L K15C, 4-cylinder engine that also powers the Ertiga and the XL6 CNG. In CNG mode, the powertrain produces 88bhp and 121.5Nm of torque. In the petrol mode, this engine churns out 101bhp and 137Nm of torque. The Hyryder CNG will only be offered with the 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Toyota’s version of the Fronx, codenamed A15 is likely to share the styling cues from the Yaris Cross. It will be offered with two petrol engines – a 100bhp, 1.0L 3-cylinder Boosterjet turbo and a 89bhp, 1.2L Dualjet 4-cylinder petrol. Both engines benefit from Suzuki’s mild hybrid tech. Adding to it, Toyota will launch the Ertiga-based MPV in the country in 2023. It will share the engine options with the Maruti’s sibling. The MPV will receive cosmetic design changes to keep things fresh in the market.
