Skoda Auto has officially announced that the long-awaited Octavia facelift will make its global debut on February 14, 2024. The company has released multiple sketches that reveal the sleeker styling of the 2024 Skoda Octavia. The Czech automaker has also confirmed that the new Octavia will continue to be offered with the Sportline and the vRS variants.
Design Changes
The 2024 Skoda Octavia comes with a sharper look, featuring redesigned bumpers and a new front grille. The sedan comes with newly styled LED Matrix beam headlights with a new lighting signature. Skoda says that ” they now incorporate Crystallinium, a unique crystalline element that imparts a distinctive blue hue to the interior of the headlight housing, further refining the vehicle’s aesthetic.”
2024 Skoda Octavia – More Details
Skoda is yet to announce the engine specifications of the sedan. It is expected that the new Octavia will receive a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol, a 2.0L turbo diesel and mild hybrid powertrains. Similar to the Kodiaq and Superb, the new Octavia could also receive a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The plug-in hybrid or PHEV will comprise of a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine coupled with an electric motor that offers a combined power output of 204bhp.
Skoda is also preparing an electric derivative of the Octavia, which is expected to arrive at a later stage. It is likely to feature VW Group’s 89kWh battery pack, which is claimed to offer a WLTP range of more than 595km.
It is expected that Skoda could introduce the Octavia RS iV with plug-in hybrid tech in our market. Adding to it, the new Superb could also be launched in our market. This year, the Czech automaker will introduce the Enyaq iV electric SUV in the country.
