Hyundai has officially revealed the updated version of the Tucson mid-sized SUV in the global markets. The 2024 Hyundai Tucson facelift will go on sale in our market sometime next year. The current-gen Tucson was launched in our market in August 2022. It comes with cosmetic design and interior changes; however, the engine options remain the same.
The 2024 Hyundai Tucson facelift comes with cosmetic design changes, which are in-line with the brand’s new parametric Dynamics design language. The styling is inspired from the latest gen Kona on sale in global markets and the all-new Santa Fe SUV. The front fascia gets the brand’s signature front grille, and slightly revised headlights. It comes with prominent skid plates at the front and rear, and a new set of alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the SUV gets a curved one-piece panel behind a new-look steering wheel. This new panel accommodates the infotainment touchscreen and the digital driver’s display. The central console has been revised, which now has new haptic control stack for different functions.
A physical heater dials have been added to give it a new look. The centre stack also comes with a larger storage space in front of the centre console.
The SUV has not received any mechanical changes and will continue with its existing powertrain options. The India-spec model is offered with a 2.0-litre petrol and turbo diesel engines. The naturally-aspirated petrol engine is capable of producing 156bhp of power and 192Nm of torque, and is coupled to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV also comes with a 160bhp, 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that also powers the Alcazar.
The diesel version gets a 2.0-litre unit that churns out a maximum power output of 186bhp and a peak torque of 416Nm. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV comes with AWD setup with multi-terrain modes (Snow, Mud and Sand).
