2023 Lamborghini Urus, 2 New Huracan Variants Coming This Year

Stephan Winkelmann, the President and CEO at Automobili Lamborghini, has revealed the company’s new product plans during a roundtable meeting with the Italian press. The Italian sportscar manufacturer will unveil the new 2023 Lamborghini Urus facelift at the 71st Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, USA. The auto show will be held on 21st August 2022.

Winkelmann has also confirmed that the Lamborghini Huracan model lineup will be further expanded with the addition of two new variants. One of its new variants will arrive in mid April, and the other will be unveiled towards the end of 2022.

2023 Lamborghini Urus SUV

The new 2023 Lamborghini Urus facelift is currently in its testing phase and one of its test mules was recently caught on camera. Unlike the existing model that features Y-shaped, horizontal elements, the updated one has new vertically oriented inlets on the outer edges. The hood has also been updated with angled vents and ridges running towards the base of the A-pillars. The vents placed behind the rear wheel now follow the angle along the fender and the rear bumper gets new sculpting.

Compared to the current model, the updated one will be lighter and more powerful. At present, the sport SUV weighs 2,200kg and delivers a claimed power of 650bhp. The new 2023 Lamborghini Urus facelift will continue to derive power from a 4.0L, V8 twin turbocharged engine. Though, the motor will tuned for generating extra power.

The French sportscar maker is also planning to introduce the Lamborghini Urus with some level of electrification by the end of 2024. The SUV might also be offered with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. Lamborghini will make an investment of over €1.5 billion in the next four years to electrify its entire product portfolio. The company will bring in three models with some sort of electrical assistance by the end of 2024.
