2023 Hyundai Verna – Major Feature Upgrades, Design Changes

Hyundai India will kick-start the new year with unveiling of the Creta facelift and new-generation Verna at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo. The automobile event is scheduled to happen from 13th to 18th January at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The updated Creta will be the first one to hit showrooms, followed by the all-new Verna. Talking about the 2023 Hyundai Verna, the sedan will witness comprehensive changes inside and out along with the Creta-sourced powertrains.

The all-new Verna is likely to be made available with the 1.5L petrol (115PS/143.8Nm), 1.4L turbo petrol (120PS/172Nm) and 1.5L diesel (115PS/250Nm) engine options. It can be had with both manual and automatic gearbox. The turbo-petrol unit might come with a DCT automatic gearbox. Rumour has it that the sedan’s new model could be offered with the mild hybrid tech that includes regenerative braking system and auto start/stop tech.

Major changes will be made to its exterior and interior. The new 2023 Hyundai Verna will be bigger in size and have more cabin space to offer. The biggest update will come in the form of ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology. The suite includes forward collision mitigation, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic assistance and driver attention monitoring.

Besides this, the sedan will have an all-digital instrument cluster and updated infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. We expect it to be packed with the front ventilated seats and connected car features. Read – Hyundai Venue N Line – Which Variant Should You Buy?

Upfront, the new 2023 Hyundai Verna will feature a large ‘parametric jewel’ design grille as we have seen in the new-gen Tucson. Design bits such as full-LED headlamps, revised bumper, fastback-like styling with a tapered roof and split taillamps will enhance its new look. The sedan is likely to take some of its design inspiration from the new Elantra.
