2022 Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 Launch Price Is Rs 1.6 Lakh

Yamaha has finally launched the refreshed 2022 Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 in the Indian market. The new version of the naked streetfighter is priced at Rs 1.6 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with new features, some hardware changes and new colour options.

The 2022 Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 is offered in 4 colour options – Cyan Storm (New), Racing Blue (New), Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black. The motorcycle looks largely identical to the previous model. It retains the single-pod projector LED headlamp with eyebrows-shaped LED DRLs, a raised tail-section, aggressive fuel tank and a side-slung upswept exhaust muffler.

The motorcycle comes with an inverted front fork with 37mm inner tubes, wherein the lower end is light, and the upper end has thick outer tubes bolted to the chassis for higher rigidity. The box-section swingarm is also replaced with a MotoGP inspired Aluminium swingarm. The motorcycle weighs just 139kgs and is based on Yamaha’s Delta Box frame.

Powering the 2022 Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 is a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, 155cc fuel injected engine with Variable Valve Actuation system. This engine is capable of producing 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.1Nm at 7,500rpm. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox that is mated with an Assist and Slip clutch.

The motorcycle gets single channel ABS with 282mm front and 220mm rear disc brake, a 140mm rear radial tyre and side stand with engine cut-off switch.

The motorcycle gets a new fully digital LCD cluster that displays a customizable animated text (When ignition is turned on), along with a Gear Shift, Gear Position and VVA indicator. It also supports Bluetooh enabled Y-Connect App that shows call, e-mail and SMS alerts. The App also offers information related to Maintenance Recommendations, Parking Location, Fuel Consumption, Malfunctions, Revs Dashboard and Ranking on the Smartphone.
