Kia India Records Domestic Sales Of Over 1.81 Lakh In 2021

Kia India has registered cumulative sales of 2,27,844 units in 2021, including domestic sales of 1,81,583 units. The company registered despite the supply-related headwinds throughout the year. With over 29% Y-O-Y growth in domestic sales, the company ranked amongst the top 5 car manufacturers in the country with a 6 percent market share in the domestic market in the calendar year.

The company sold 7,797 units in December. The company sold 4,012 units, while Sonet and Carnival accounted for 3,578 and 207 units respectively. The company is gearing up to launch its fourth new model, the Kia Carens. 

Seltos X Line changes

In 2021, Kia also shipped 46,261 units recording a year on year growth of 23 percent in exports. Since its inception in 2019, Kia has exported 96,242 units. The company regisered a cumulative sales of 4.5 lakh units in under 2.5 years.

Topping the Dealer Satisfaction Study 2021 and 2020 in a row and Customer purchase satisfaction by NCBS 2020 demonstrates our unwavering commitment to the same.”

The Kia Seltos and Sonet have also registered 2 lakh and 1 lakh sales respectively since their introduction in the market in 2020. The company believes that the sales number will further increase with the introduction of the new Carens MPV. The new MPV will be launched before the end of March 2022, while bookings will commence from January 14.
