Prices Of Tata Cars, SUVs Increased By 0.8%

Tata Motors has announced to increase the prices of its passenger vehicles by 0.8 percent, depending on the variant and model. These prices are effective 3rd August, 2021. The company has also said that the price protection is applicable only on vehicles retailed or billed on or before 31st August, 2021.

This is the third price hike from Tata Motors this year. In May 2021, Tata increases prices of its SUVs and Cars by up to 1.8 percent. In January 2021, prices of Tata cars were increased by up to Rs 26,000. Tata Motors had recently announced that it has set in motion a comprehensive ‘Business Agility Plan’ to protect and serve the interests of its customers, dealers and suppliers.

Tata Motors has sold 30,185 passenger vehicles in July 2021, recording a massive year-on-year growth of 101%. The company is currently selling the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Nexon, Nexon EV, Harrier and Safari.The brand’s sub-4 meter was the most sold Tata car in India in July 2021. The company sold 10,287 units of Nexon in July 2021 as against 4,327 units during the same period in 2020.

In order to further improve sales, Tata Motors will launch the Tiago NRG facelift on July 4, 2021. Adding to it, the brand will introduce the production version of the HBX micro SUV. The Tata HBX based micro SUV is scheduled to be launched in our market in the second half of 2021. A possible launch around Diwali can’t be ignored. It is based on the ALFA modular platform, which also underpins the Altroz hatchback. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox. Rumoured to be called Tata Timero, the new micro SUV will be positioned against the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and the upcoming Hyundai Casper.
