The all-new Yamaha R15 V3 made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2018, followed by its launch at the event. However, the deliveries will begin by the end of March, 2018. Priced at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new R15 receives several upgrades along with a more powerful and refined engine. While the price, specifications and features of the bike were revealed at its launch, the racing kit and accessories’ list has been shared now.
The fully-faired bike comes with five optional accessories priced in the range of Rs 250 – Rs 2,450. The tank pad is the most affordable one tagged at Rs 250. There is an optional seat cover that will cost Rs 450. While the skid plate has been priced at Rs 500, the frame slider which is integrated into the fairing is available at Rs 2,450. On the other hand, the racing kit of new R15 V3 has two offerings – Metzeler tyre and Daytona exhaust muffler. While the former is made available at Rs 9,998, the latter one costs Rs 16,700. One must note that the Metzeler tyre Sportec M5 140/70 R17 tyre is fitted at the rear axle only. Interestingly, the Daytona exhaust muffler is lighter than the regular unit. This will help the bike shed-off a few kgs and deliver better performance.
At the heart of the new Yamaha R15 is a 155.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which is claimed to be more refined than the old unit. It can deliver 19.04bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.7Nm of torque at 8,500rpm.
