Yamaha MT-15 Launched In India At Rs 1.36 Lakh
New Yamaha MT-15 makes use of a 155cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled SOHC engine.
New 2019 Yamaha MT-15 naked streetfighter motorcycle is finally here. The Japanese bikemaker has rolled out the bike at a starting price of Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). At this price point, the new Yamaha bike will take on the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, KTM 125 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
At the heart of the 2019 Yamaha MT-15 is a 155cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled SOHC engine boosted with VVA (variable valve actuation) and fuel injected technology. It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3. This motor, with a 6-speed gearbox, makes a top power of 19.3PS at 10,000rpm and 14.7Nm of torque at 8,500rpm.

Suspension and braking system of the 2019 Yamaha MT-15 are carried over from the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3. It features the conventional telescopic fork and a box-section swingarm instead of a USD and the cast aluminum unit respectively. Visually, the new Yamaha MT-15 looks quite aggressive (especially at the front end). Based on the Deltabox platform, the bike features bug-eye shaped LED projector headlamp, MT-09-inspired taillamps, sculpted fuel tank with radiator guards and all-digital instrument console.
