Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR Prices Announced, Deliveries From May 2016

2016 Yamaha Ray-ZR is available in two variants – Drum Brake and Disk Brake – that are priced at Rs 52,000 and Rs 54,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Yamaha Motor that recently launched the new Saluto RX earlier this month, has now rolled out the Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR scooter in the country. The 113cc scooter was first unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016. Available in two variants – Drum Brake and Disk Brake – the 2016 Yamaha Ray ZR is priced between Rs 52,000 and Rs 54,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Yamaha scooter will be available at showrooms from May 2016 onwards.

The 2016 Yamaha Ray ZR is powered by a 113cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled SOHC  “BLUE CORE” engine that produces a maximum power output of 7bhp and 8.1Nm of peak torque. Transmission on offer is a CVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox. This powertrain, with high combustion efficiency and lightweight body built, returns a claimed mileage of 66kmpl. Based on the “Next-Generation Real Boy’s Scooter” concept, the 2016 Yamaha Ray ZR looks quite refreshing and sporty.

The company says that the exterior design of the Ray-ZR characterized by a sense of dynamism and layered forms that gives a fresh look like no other scooter before and expresses the strength of a well-trained physique. The new Yamaha scooter features a newly designed instrument cluster that has great readability even at night. It offers 21-litre under seat storage space. Both the variants are available in two different color schemes.

India Yamaha Motor, currently, has four scooters in its product lineup including the Cygnus Ray, Cygnus Ray Z, Cygnus Alpha and Fascino.
