Homegrown automaker, Mahindra will soon launch the thoroughly updated version of its popular SUV – Mahindra XUV500. It is expected to be launched in the Indian market in April-May, 2018. The updated model has already been spotted testing several times on Indian roads. In fact, clear exterior pictures of the car have already hit the web.
Now, the interior images of the SUV have been leaked on the internet. The new Spy shots reveal that the facelifted model will come with tan-coloured leather seating surfaces with contrasting stitching. The dashboard gets all-black scheme with soft-touch material. The central console also has an all-black theme with faux-aluminium trim. It will continue with aluminium pedals. In terms of styling, the new XUV500 facelift will get slightly revised headlamps with projector units and LED daytime running lamps. It also has newly designed grille with thick chrome surround. The front and rear bumper have also been revised. The side profile looks largely identical to the previous model, except for the new dual-tone diamond-studded alloys. The rear also receives several changes in the form of new taillights. Instead of vertically positioned tail-light, the SUV gets newly styled horizontally positioned taillights. The tailgate has also been revised, which now has chrome accents above licensing plate. It will be powered by a more powerful version of the existing 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. Besides XUV500 facelift, Mahindra will also launch a premium MPV – codenamed U321 and a sub-4 meter SUV codenamed S201.
