Mahindra & Mahindra has planned two important SUV launches for this year, namely, the XUV700 and the new-generation Scorpio. While the Mahindra XUV700 is slated to arrive during 2021 festive season, the new Mahindra Scorpio will arrive towards the end of this year. Both SUVs have spotted testing multiple times across the country. Recently, the 2021 Mahindra Scorpio was spotted running in sand dunes of Rajasthan. The prototype, however, was heavily camouflaged covering most of its design details.

Compared to the current generation, the new Mahindra Scorpio will carry sportier design language along with the bigger dimensions and a new platform. Most of the cosmetic updates will be made at the front end. The SUV will get a new 6-slate vertically positioned grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs and a larger bumper with massive air-dam. The strong character lines running across the sides and new alloys enhance its new look. The pronounced kink on the rear door will be positioned slightly upwards along with the window line. The rear overhangs will be extended, while the side-hinged tailgate will be carried forward from the current model.

Comprehensive changes will continue inside the cabin as well. One of the major attractions will be the new touchscreen infotainment system supporting latest smartphone connectivity. The 2021 Mahindra Scorpio will also come with the black dashboard, XUV300-sourced centre console, a flat bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, driver-side armrest and forward-facing third row seats.
