The new company won’t impact the individual identities of the Skoda, VW, Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini, as all the brands will retain their dealer network. The company will be headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, and operate two manufacturing facilities in Pune and Aurangabad. The company will have regional offices in Mumbai, New Delhi and other locations across the country.
As a part of India Project 2.0, Skoda will lead the development of the local MQB AO IN platform. The platform will be used to develop a range of new cars to be sold under Volkswagen and Skoda. While VW will introduce the India-spec T-Cross, next-gen Vento and the next-gen Polo, Skoda will launch the locally developed Kamiq and the next-gen Rapid sedan.
