Volvo XC40 Petrol Price Reduced By Rs 3 Lakh

Swedish automaker, Volvo has introduced a new ‘Hassle-Free offer’ with its entry-level SUV – the Volvo XC40. Under this offer, customers can avail benefits up to Rs 4 lakh. The company has reduced the prices of the XC40 T4 R-Design by Rs 3 lakh. Adding to it, Volvo is also offering complimentary accessories worth Rs 1 lakh.

The Volvo XC40 petrol was launched in a single variant – R-Design trim – priced at Rs 39.90 lakh. With price cut of Rs 3 lakh, the new model is now available at a price tag of Rs 36.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India). These are limited period offer and the prices could go up in near future.

Volvo XC40 T4 R-Design Petrol Price

Powering the Volvo XC40 is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of producing 190bhp and 300Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The company has already discontinued the diesel version of the XC40.

The Volvo XC40 directly rivals the BMW X1, Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA and the Mini Countryman (Cooper S). The new SUV is based on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA). It is equipped with high-end radar-based active safety features, 7 airbags, adaptive cruise control, roll stability control, run-off road protection, on-coming lane mitigation and driver alerts.

The new Volvo XC40 R-Design is equipped with a wide range of comfort and connectivity features. It gets a panoramic sunroof, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch instrument console, front and rear park assist pilot and a power tailgate. The SUV also offers a 14-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system. Volvo is also considering the local assembly of the new XC40 SUV, which will further help the automaker to achieve competitive pricing. Adding to it, the company could also introduce the electric version of the XC40 in India.
