Volvo S60 T6 Petrol Launched in India at Rs. 42 lakh

Volvo Auto India, today, rolled out the S60 T6 at Rs. 42 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Volvo S60 T6 is the petrol version of the Volvo S60 sedan that will rival the petrol models of Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series. Though the closest competitor for the vehicle both in terms of performance and pricing will be BMW 328i. Similar to the other Volvo cars, it will be brought to India as the CBU (completely built up unit).

The new S60 T6 is powered by a new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine with supercharged direct-injection technology and 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. It develops a maximum power of 306bhp at 5, 700rpm and a peak torque of 400Nm. The FWD (front wheel drive) system is also on offer. The new S60 T6 is more capable and quicker than the old model, which had a 304bhp, 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol engine and AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The new S60 T66 takes 5.9 seconds to achieve 0-100kmph, and has an electronic speed limit of 230kmph.

On the exterior, the car features active bending lights with LED daytime running lights, 18-inches alloy wheels and an electric sunroof. Features on list are a digital TFT instrument cluster, 7-inch infotainment system with navigation, DVD and Bluetooth, power adjustable leather seats, parking assist and electronic climate control. It comes with a wide array of advanced safety features such as dual front and side airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system), EBD (electronic braking distribution), city safety system and whiplash protection system.
