Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace Launch Price Rs 33.12 Lakh – Key Features

Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace, the 7-seater version of the Tiguan SUV, has finally arrived in the Indian market. The SUV comes at an introductory price of Rs 33.12 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Interestingly, the 7-seater VW Tiguan AllSpace has ditched the 5-seat Tiguan’s 143bhp, 2.0L diesel engine for a more powerful 190bhp, 1.0L turbocharged petrol motor. The SUV gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox for performing transmission duties. Power is delivered to all four wheels via VW’s 4Motion system.

Dimensionally, the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace measures 4710mm in length, 1839mm in width and 1674mm in height. This makes it around 109mm longer and 2mm taller than the Tiguan 5-seater. In fact, its wheelbase has been increased by 110mm that measures 2787mm. The bigger size allows accommodate an additional third row of seats. The Tiguan AllSpace offers a cargo volume of 230-litres with all seats in place. It can be stretched up to 760-litres by folding the third row of seats and 1920-liters by folding the second row of seats.

With respect to safety, the VW Tiguan AllSpace offers 7 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS (anti-lock braking system), ESP (electronic stability program) and a rear parking camera as standard fitments.

Visually, the 7-seater SUV looks slightly different than the Tiguan 5-seater. The newly-designed front grille, updated bumper, tweaked LED headlamps, large multi-spoke alloy wheels and LED taillamps mark a distinction.
