Volkswagen T-Roc Specs Revealed; Gets Over 300 Bookings
Volkswagen India recently introduced the Tiguan AllSpace 7-seater SUV at Rs 33.12 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, the company is getting ready to bring in the T-Roc SUV on 18th March. Official bookings for both models were commenced in the second week of February. The Volkswagen T-Roc has received over 300 booking so far. Ahead of its official launch, the engine and feature details of the SUV have revealed on the web.
The T-Roc will come to India via CBU (Completely Built Up) route that means will be exactly similar to the European model. It won’t have direct rival in the country. If it’s priced between Rs 18 lakh- Rs 20 lakh, it will be the same price range as Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier and Hyundai Tucson.
Under the hood, the Volkswagen T-Roc will employ a 1.5L TSI engine benefited with Active Cylinder Technology (ACT). The motor delivers a peak power of 147bhp against a maximum torque of 250Nm. The SUV will be capable to do 0-100kmph in 8.4 seconds, while maintaining a top speed of 205kmph. It will come with VW’s 4Motion drivetrain system. The Volkswagen T-Roc will be made available in 6 colour schemes with a black roof as standard. The paint options include Energetic Orange, Pure White, Curcuma Yellow, Indium Grey, Ravenna Blue and a monotone Deep Black Pearl shade. The SUV will get 6 airbags as standard fitment along with MSR (motor slip regulation), ABS (anti-lock braking), traction control, ESP (electronic stability programme) and electronic differential lock.
The new Volkswagen SUV gets all-round LED lighting including LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, LED DRLs (daytime running lights). Some of its key features will include the signature bumper with mounted trapezoidal DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather seats, a digital instrument cluster and more.
