Volkswagen T-ROC Key Features Revealed – Listed on Website
The Volkswagen T-ROC 5-seater premium SUV has been listed on Volkswagen’s India website. Official pre-bookings of the SUV have also been started, while launch is scheduled to take place in April 2020. The new model will be brought into India via CBU (Completely Built-Up).
The Volkswagen T-ROC 5-seater premium SUV will be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 150bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed DSG (Dual-Clutch Automatic). It is based on the brand’s versatile MQB platform, which also underpins the Tiguan. Upon its launch, the Volkswagen T-ROC SUV will rival the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. It will only be offered in the single fully-loaded variant, which is expected to be priced around Rs 18 lakh – Rs 20 lakh. In terms of proportions, the T-ROC 5-seater SUV is 4234mm in length, 1819mm in width and 1573mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2603mm and offers a boot space of 445-litres. By folding the rear seat, one can increase its cargo volume up to 1290-litres.
