Volkswagen T-Cross Compact SUV Teased; Global Debut On 25th October
The Volkswagen T-Cross will have its world premier on October 25, 2018.
Volkswagen’s smallest SUV – T-Cross – is ready to debut on October 25, 2018. Ahead of its global unveiling, the German carmaker has dropped a teaser video revealing design highlights of the final production model. Face of the Volkswagen T-Cross compact SUV resembles to the T-Roc, featuring narrow headlamps with LED DRLs and fog lamps with chrome surround.
The front grille extends up to the headlamps and the bumper gets black inserts running across the front fascia. Similar black treatment has been given to the rear profile. Volkswagen’s new compact SUV sports full LED taillamps with integrated black insert that runs across the tailgate. Volkswagen T-Cross Teaser Video
The new Volkswagen T-Cross SUV will come in five body shades including the Orange, Cyan and Blue. It will also be available with dual tone paint schemes. The previous teasers revealed that the SUV gets a sliding rear bench that creates boot space of 455L with the second row in place and 1281L with them folded. Similar to the VW Polo hatchback, the Volkswagen T-Cross gets all-black interior treatment. The teaser shows premium leather seat upholstery, steering wheel with mounted controls and a large infotainment system. VW’s smallest SUV is based on the scalable MQB platform.
Globally, the Volkswagen T-Cross SUV will be offered with multiple diesel and petrol engines along with plug-in-hybrid option. In India, it is likely to come with a 1.0-litre TSI and 1.6-litre TDI powertrains with both manual and automatic gearbox options.
