Volkswagen Polo Matte Edition Launch Soon; Arrives At Dealerships

Volkswagen showcased the new Polo Matte Edition in March 2021. The model, which is slated to launch this festive season, has started arriving at dealerships. The upcoming Volkswagen Polo Matte Edition is expected to be the most affordable factory-made car with the Matte colour scheme. Based on the GT trim, the new special model is likely to cost around Rs 20,000 higher than the standard Polo GT that’s currently available at Rs 9.93 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Volkswagen Polo Matte Edition has matte finish on body panels along with the contrast glossy black finish on door handles, ORVMs and rear spoiler. It comes with the silver V-spoke alloy wheels. The new special edition retains the original design elements and dimensions. Sporty treatment continues inside the cabin as well. The new Polo Matte edition offers all-black interior with fabric upholstery in chequered design.

The hatchback’s matte edition will have a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity. It will also get Climatronic automatic climate control. The list of features will include a multi information display, simply designed dashboard, keyless entry, cruise control, Bluetooth, AUX-IN and USB connectivity, footwell lamps and more.

The standard safety kit of the upcoming Polo Matte Edition will include dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC), rear parking sensors, auto-dimming interior rear view mirror and anti-pinch power windows.

No changes will be made under the hood. The new Volkswagen Polo Matte Edition will come with the same 1.0L turbocharged petrol motor powering the regular Polo GT. The gasoline unit has been tuned for generating a peak power of 110bhp and a maximum torque of 175Nm. Power will be delivered to the front wheels via a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The new Matte edition will be capable to achieve 100kmph from standstill in 10.79 seconds.
