Volkswagen Indian has announced a special edition of its highly-popular hatchback – Polo in the country. Called the Volkswagen Polo GT Sport, this limited edition comes in two variants – TSI and TDI, prices start at Rs 8.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Interested buyers can pre-booking the vehicle at any authorized Volkswagen dealership across the nation.
Wearing multiple exterior and interior updates, the Volkswagen Polo GT Sport edition looks more upmarket and sportier than the standard model. On the outside, the limited edition gets glossy black roof foil and rear spoiler. What adds more to its appearance is an all-new pair of 16-inch Portago alloy wheels. The sporty styling continues to be visible inside the cabin. This limited edition features leatherette finished GT sport embossed seat covers marking a distinction to its portfolio. As far as colour schemes are concerned, the Volkswagen Polo GT Sport edition is available in two shades – Flash Red and Candy White.
Engine choices on the VW Polo GT Sport include the same 1.2-litre TSI petrol and 1.5-litre TSI diesel. While the petrol motor delivers 103.5bhp at 5,000rpm and 175Nm between 1,500rpm – 4,100rpm, the diesel mill makes 108.5bhp at 4,400rpm and 250Nm at 1,500rpm – 2,500rpm.
