November 15, 2016 – Volkswagen India has introduced a special edition of its highly popular Polo hatchback – Volkswagen Polo ALLSTAR. Available in petrol and diesel iterations, this special edition has been priced at Rs 7.51 lakh and Rs 9.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) respectively. This makes it nearly Rs 30,000 more expensive than the regular range-topping trim. At this additional cost, one will get enhanced styling and a bunch of features.
Design highlights of the Polo AllStar edition include ‘ALLSTAR’ badges on the B-pillars, scuff plates and aluminium pedals. With few more cosmetic upgrades, the Polo special edition looks sportier than the regular Polo. Since its a special edition, no mechncial changes have made to the car. The new Polo edition continues to feature the current 1.5-litre TDI diesel and 1.2-litre MPi petrol engines. While the diesel mill is good for 103.5bhp and 250Nm of torque, the petrol mill churns out 88.7bhp and 230Nm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
On the other hand, the global model of the Volkswagen Polo AllStar is packed with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing power worth 108bhp. Paired to a 6-speed manual transmission, this special edition returns an impressive 23.26kmpl. In the European test cycle, its CO2 emissions stand at 99 g/km.

Volkswagen Polo AllStar India Exterior & Interior
On the outside, the new Polo edition features ALLSTAR’ badges on the B-pillars and the fender, ‘ALLSTAR’ badged sill plates, newly designed 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and fog lamps. Volkswagen is offering five shades on the car – Reflex Silver, Blue Silk, Toffy Brown, Flash Red and Candy White.
A few updates have been made inside the car as well. There is a new seat upholstery with a contrasting stripe, Vento-inspired center armrest at the front and rear AC vents. The scuff plates and aluminium pedals are embossed with ALLSTAR moniker. The European-spec version of the Polo AllStar is offered with a winter package that includes heated wind-shield washer nozzles, headlight washers and heated front seats. However, the India-bound model misses out on these fitments.
