Volkswagen ID.3 – “World First” Carbon Neutral Electric Car Unveiled

It’s Volkswagen’s first product to be based on the scalable MEB platform. The same architecture will be used for Volkswagen’s upcoming ID models and VW Group brands.

The smaller capacity battery pushes out a peak power of 145bhp, while the 58kWh and 77kWh batteries return 198bhp. The torque output of all 3 batteries stands at 310Nm.

The smaller-battery and range-topping ID.3 get 50kW with an optional 100kW and 125kW charging capacity. The carmaker is offering 8 years or 160,000 kilometers on Volkswagen ID.3 batteries.
The exterior design of the Volkswagen ID.3 electric hatchback is quite futuristic. In terms of proportions, the Volkswagen ID.3 measures 4,261mm in length, 1,809mm in width and 1,552mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,765mm. The electric hatchback has a loading capacity between 416kg -541kg.
The new electric car from Volkswagen comes with a host of advanced features including a 10-inch infotainment system with navigation system, heating seat and steering wheel, a rear view camera system, adaptive cruise control, head-up display, a Beats sound system, a lane keeping system with emergency assist, and many more.
