Vespa Notte Scooter To Launch Soon; Price Leaked

Vespa Notte will compete with Suzuki Burgman Street, Honda Grazia and TVS Ntorq.

Piaggio Two-wheelers will soon roll out a new variant of its popular Vespa scooter in the Indian market. Called the new Vespa Notte, the scooter made its public debut at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. While the official launch date and price will be revealed in coming days, the new variant is reported to be priced at Rs 70,285 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Based on the Vespa LX 125, the new Vespa Notte will be stacked up against the newly-launched Suzuki Burgman Street, Honda Grazia, TVS Ntorq and Aprilia SR 125. Interestingly, the India-spec version looks completely different than the model sold in the global markets. In Vespa’s Indian product lineup, the Vespa Notte will sit below the Vespa LX 125.

The sporty blacked-out treatment makes it look quite attractive. Painted in the matte black shade, the Vespa Notte features alloy wheels with black detailing and lots chrome. The scooter has a kerb weight of 114kg and offers a seat height of 770mm. It stands on a ground clearance of 155mm. It comes with a fuel tank capacity of 7-litres. Read – Vespa Red Price & Details

The new Vespa Notte sources its braking power from the 150mm front and 140mm rear drum brakes. The suspension duties are carried out by the single side arm up front and a hydraulic shock absorber rear unit. Read – Vespa GTS 300 Might Come To India

For power, the Vespa Notte makes uses of a 125cc, single-cylinder, three-valve, air cooed engine paired to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). The gasoline motor can produce a maximum power of 9.5bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.9Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. It can attain a top speed of 100kmph.
