Vespa Notte 125 Scooter Launched At Rs 68,845

The Vespa Notte 125 scooter is available in three variants – SXL, VXL and the Elegante.

Piaggio Two-wheelers has added a new variant of its popular Vespa scooter in India. Called the new Vespa Notte 125, the scooter is being offered at Rs 68,845 (ex-showroom, Pune). This makes it the most affordable Vespa model in the country. The scooter is available across all Piaggio dealerships with a down payment of Rs 8,999.

The Vespa Notte, which is based on the Vespa LX 125, comes in three variants – SXL, VXL and the Elegante. In the 125cc scooter segment, the new Vespa scooter takes on the Aprilia SR 125, TVS Ntorq, Honda Grazia and Suzuki Burgman Street.

Commenting on the launch of the Vespa Notte 125, Diego Graffi, CEO and MD, Piaggio India said, “Piaggio is delighted to launch the special Vespa Notte 125 CC in India. In Italian language, ‘Notte’ means night. Therefore, the company has given a sporty black treatment to the scooter. The Vespa Notte 125 has black mirrors, grab rails and wheels. It is available in single Matte Black paint scheme. With an aim to achieve competitive pricing, the company replaced the tubeless tyres with tube-type tyres and front disc brake with a drum brake. Read – Vespa GTS 300 Might Come To India

The new Vespa 125cc scooter comes fitted with the 150mm front and 140mm rear drum brakes. For damping duties, it gets the single side arm up front and a hydraulic shock absorber rear unit. The scooter weighs 114kg and has seat height of 770mm. It stands tall on a ground clearance of 155mm, and offers a fuel tank capacity of 7-litres.

Power source of the Vespa Notte is a 125cc, single-cylinder, three-valve, air cooed engine mated to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). The gasoline unit pushes out a peak power of 9.5bhp at 7,500rpm against a maximum torque of 9.9Nm at 6,000rpm. The scooter is capable to attain a maximum speed of 100kmph.
